a. Vocabulary: some words related to home life

  • Biology(n) môn sinh hoc→biologist(n) nhà nghiên cứu về sinh vật

  • Join hands: hợp sức lại

  • Be responsible for= have responsibility for: có trách nhiệm

  • Make sure: đảm bảo

  • Give a hand: giúp một tay

  • Household chore: việc nhà

  • Look after= take care of: chăm sóc

  • Close-knit: gắn bó

  • Support(v) hỗ trợ→supportive(adj)

  • Confidence(n)+ in→confident(adj)

  • Take each other;s hands: hợp sức

  • Wel-behaved : có gióa dục,hạnh kiểm tốt

B.grammar:tenses

I. HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN (Simple Present):

* đối với”TOBE=IS/ARE/AM.”

- khẳng định: she/he/it/ Mary/Hanoi--------------is

We/they/you/ Danh từ số nhiều.—are

I -------------------------am

Ex: mary cooks for dinner everyday.



- phủ định: S + TOBE + NOT.

Ex: I’m not a student.



- nghi vấn:

TOBE + S?

Eg: are you a excellent student?

* đối với “HAVE”

- khẳng định: she/he/it/ Mary/Hanoi ------------- has

/I/We/they/you/ Danh từ số nhiều.—have

Eg: I have a lot of money.

- phủ định: S + do/does + NOT. + have.

Eg: I don’t have enough money to buy that shirt.



- nghi vấn: do/does + S + have?

Eg: do you have any money?

* đối với “VERB”.

- khẳng định: she/he/it/ Mary/Hanoi--------------V.es/s

I/We/they/you/ Danh từ số nhiều.—V

NOTES:


+ những động từ tận cùng bằng những kí tự: o.s ,ch ,sh,dz,x. ta thêm “es” đói với chủ ngữ số ít.

+ Còn lại ta thêm s.



- phủ định: she/he/it/ Mary/Hanoi--------------does

+NOT + V(nguyên mẫu). I/We/they/you/ Danh từ số nhiều.—do

Eg: tim doesn’t have any money.

- nghi vấn:

Do/does + S + V(nguyên mẫu)?

Eg: does tim have any money?

2.cách sử dụng:

.a.Diễn tả một thói quen hoặc một việc thường xuyên xảy ra ở hiện tại.

Ex: - We come to school on time everyday.

- My mother always gets up early. (Mẹ tôi luôn thức dậy sớm)

* dấu hiệu thì:

Cách dùng này thường có các trạng từ chỉ sự thường xuyên:

• rarely: ít khi • usually: thường thường

• sometimes: đôi khi • seldom: hiếm khi

• never: không bao giờ • always: luôn luôn

• often: thường • occasionally: thỉnh thoảng

• hardly ever: hiếm khi • everyday: hàng ngày

Các kết cấu đi với every như:

• every week: hàng tuần

• every month: hàng tháng

b.sự thật hiển nhiên, một chân lý

Ex: - The Sun rises in the East. (Mặt trời mọc ở phương đông)

- The Earth moves around the sun. (Trái đất xoay quanh mặt trời)

c. Diễn tả sự thật tương đối bền vững

Ex: - Your sister speaks English well. (Chị của bạn nói tiếng Anh giỏi)

- Dick writes novel. (Dick viết tiểu thuyết)-



II. HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN (Present Continuous)

Hình thức:

Subject + am / is / are + V-ing

1. Chỉ một sự việc đang xảy ra ở hiện tại, lúc ta đang nói

Ex: - The farmers are working in the fields now.

- My mother is cooking in the kitchen at the moment.

* Dấu hiệu thì:

a. Trong câu thường có các phó từ:

• now: bây giờ

• at the moment: vào lúc này

• at present: vào lúc này

b. Trong câu bắt đầu bằng những từ gợi sự chú ý như:

• Look! Coi kìa

• Listen! Nghe kìa

• Hurry up! Nhanh lên

Ex: - Look! The boys are fighting. (Coi kìa, bọn trẻ đang đánh nhau)

- Listen! They are speaking English.

- Hurry up! The bus is coming. (Nhanh lên! Xe buýt đang tới rồi kìa)

c. Trong câu có cụm chủ vị có từ WHILE (Trong lúc)

Ex: - I’ll think it over while I’m having my lunch.

2. Diễn tả một việc được xếp đặt xảy ra trong tương lai.

Ex: - What are you doing this evening? (Chiều tối nay bạn định làm gì)

- We are going to Paris on Friday.

III. HIỆN TẠI HOÀN THÀNH (Present Perfect)

Hình thức :

Khẳng định: Subject + Has / Have + Past Participle

Phủ định: Subject + Has / Have +not + Past Participle

Nghi vấn: Has / Have +Subject+ Past Participle?

1. Để diễn tả một việc đã xảy ra trong quá khứ mà thời gian không xác định rõ.

Ex: - He has lived in England before

- We have gone to Dalat several times.

- She has already seen that film. (Cô ta đã xem phim đó rồi)

- He’s never been there. (Anh ta chưa từng ở đó)

- They haven’t finished their work yet. (Họ chưa làm xong việc)

- Have you ever spoken Russian before?

Dấu hiệu thì:

Trong câu thường có

• already: rồi, đã rồi • several times: vài lần

• never: chưa bao giờ • never ... before: trước đây chưa bao giờ

• yet: chưa • ever: đã bao giờ

• ever ... before: trước đây đã bao giờ

2. Để chỉ một việc đã bắt đầu xảy ra trong quá khứ và hiện đang còn xảy ra.

Ex: - So far he has had no trouble.

- He has lived here for five years.

- His father has been ill during the last two week.

■ Dấu hiệu thì:

Trong câu thường có các trạng từ chỉ thời gian:

• so far: cho đến nay • up to now: cho đến nay

• up to the present: cho đến lúc này • since then: kể từ lúc đó

• since: kể từ khi • for: trong (khoảng thời gian)

• in / during the last + 1 khoảng thời gian

3. Để diễn tả một hành động mà thời gian nó chưa kết thúc.

Ex: - He has smoked ten cigarettes today.

- I haven’t seen her this week. (Tuần này tôi không gặp cô ấy)

■ Dấu hiệu thì:

Trong câu thường có các phó từ như:

• today: hôm nay

• this week: tuần này

• this month: tháng này

• this term: học kỳ này

• this year: năm nay

4. Để chỉ một sự việc vừa mới xảy ra so với hiện tại

Ex: - I have seen him lately. (Gần đây tôi có gặp anh ấy)

- She’s just gone out. (Cô ta vừa mới đi khỏi)

■ Dấu hiệu thì:

Cách dùng này thường có các từ như:

• just: vừa mới

• recently: gần đây



IV.Past continuous :quá khứ tiếp diễn

+ Form :

Khẳng định: S+Was / were + V-ing

Phủ định: S+Was / were + V-ing

Nghi vấn: Was / were +S+ V-ing ?

+ Use :


* .- một hành động đang xảy ra trong một thời điểm cụ thể trong quá khứ.

- một hành động đang xảy ra(QKTD) một hành động khác chen vào(QKD) trong quá khứ.

E. g : - I was watching TV when she called.

- Last at 6 PM , I was eating dinner.

* để diễn tã 2 hành động trong cùng một câu cùng xảy ra một thời điểm.

E.g: I was studying while he was making dinner.

S+Was / were + V-ing .

V.past perfect:(quá khứ hoàn thành:)


  • Hình thức:

Khẳng định: S+ had+ V3/ed

Phủ định: S+ had+ not + V3/ed

Nghi vấn: had + S + V3/ed?

  • Cách sử dụng:

- một hành dộng xảy ra trước một hành động khác trong quá khứ hoặc một thời điểm trong quá khứ.

Ex: before 1995, he had worked in that factory.

When I got up this morning, my mother had already left.


  • một hành động bắt đầu từ trước và kéo dài đến một thời điểm trong quá khứ hay kéo dài đến một hành đọng khác trong quá khứ diễn ra.

Ex: my father had played football for arsenal for ten years before he became a coach.

VI. simple past( quá khứ đơn)

  • Hình thức:

* tobe= was/were

Khẳng định: S + was/were.

Phủ định: S + was/were.+ not

Nghi vấn: were/was + S?

*have

Khẳng định: S + had



Phủ định: S + did.+ not+ have

Nghi vấn: did + S+ have?

* động từ thường:

Khẳng định: S + V2/ed

Phủ định: S + did.+ not+ V(nguyên mẫu)

Nghi vấn: did + S+ V(nguyên mẫu)?



  • Cách sử dụng:

  • hành động đã xảy ra trong quá khứ có xác định thời gian( thường đi kèm với các từ chỉ thời gian như yesterday,ago,last/night,week, month…in 1990)

ex: they built this house in 1098.

  • Một hành động diễn ra trong một khoảng thời gian đã chấm dứt trong quá khứ.

  • Một thói quen trong quá khứ.

  • Một chuỗi hành động liên tiếp nhau xảy ra trong quá khứ.

* câu tường thuật đối với loại câu phát biểu

- Nếu động từ giới thiệu ở hiện tại,hiện tại hoàn thành,tương lai đơn thì khi chuyển câu nói trực tiếp sang câu gián tiếp ta không thay đổi thì. Chỉ thay dổi các đại từ làm chủ ngữ hoặc tân ngữ.

Ex: he says “ she will come tormorrow”

He says that she will come tormorrow

- Nếu dộng từ giới thiệu ở thì quá khứ thì khi chuyển từ câu trực tiếp sang gián tiếp thì ta phải chú ý những điều sau:

yes-no questions:

  • khi tường thuât các câu hỏi loại này ta sử dụng các động từ như ask,inquire,wonder và theo sau các động từ này là if/whether

  • thay đổi thì,đại từ và trạng từ giống câu phát biểu.

ex: have you read this novel?

He ask me if I had read that novel



WH-questions:

  • khi tường thuật lại các dạng câu nầy ta thường sử dụng các động từ như: ask,wonder,require,want to know,…theo sau là từ nghi vấn như:who ,when,where,what,how,

  • thay đổi thì,đại từ,trạng từ giống câu phát biểu

ex: he said to me”who đi you go to the cinema with?

GRAMMAR: CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

1. Conditional Sentence Type 1:

Điều kiện có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.

2. Conditional Sentence Type 2:

Điều kiện không thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai - ước muốn ở hiện tại. (Nhưng thực tế không thể xảy ra được).



Form: IF S + TOBE/V(simple past),S +would/could +V(nguyên mẫu không to)

Lưu ý:+ Ở mệnh đề IF, nếu động từ là TO BE thì ta dùng WERE cho tất cả các chủ ngữ.

3. Conditional Sentence Type 3:

Điều kiện không thể xảy ra trong quá khứ - mang tính ước muốn trong quá khứ.

4. Inversion in conditionals :( đảo ngữ trong câu điều kiện)

Trong tiếng Anh câu điều kiện loại 2/3, loại 2 và loại 3 thường được dùng ở dạng đảo.
